Our programs, offered in middle schools, high schools, and alternative schools, focus on 37 core competencies developed in collaboration with industry leaders. These competencies ensure students are prepared for success in post-secondary education, military service, or the workforce.
By focusing on students with academic potential who face barriers such as poverty, family challenges, and personal trauma, JAG provides the tools and support needed to break cycles of disadvantage.
JAG’s proven approach has doubled the rate of disadvantaged youth securing jobs, nearly doubled higher education enrollment and completion rates, and tripled the rate of securing full-time employment. At JAG-Missouri, we see the untapped potential in every student and work tirelessly to help them succeed.
JAG-Missouri serves as both a dropout prevention and workforce development program, addressing critical needs in urban and rural communities. Our students face numerous barriers to success. Despite these challenges, JAG-Missouri has grown significantly, now supporting over 5,000 students across 115 programs in 79 schools.

I felt hopeless because no matter what I did, I thought the future I wanted was too far out of reach. I wasn’t smart enough or rich enough to live the life I wanted. Because of this, at the age of 15, I exploded. Everything parents pray their child isn’t doing, I was, or I was trying to.
